A 25-year-old woman was reportedly raped by her tenant on Friday in absence of her family members. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of Aerodrum police.
The victim Nisha (name changed) is the resident of Vijaysri Nagar and was alone at home when the incident took place. The accused identified as Devendra, was a tenant to the victim’s family and used to stay in the ground floor.
The police said that the accused had been bothering the woman since long. He took advantage when he found her alone and entered the house. The accused also threatened her of dire consequence, if she talked about the incident with anyone.
However, the woman mustered courage and told her family members. Police have lodged a complaint under relevant section against the accused.
