Pasadena man charged with murder in stabbing case

A man has been charged with murder after first reporting a stabbing at his residence.

On Tuesday August 2, Pasadena police received a call just after 9 a.m. from the manager of an apartment complex at 1111 Burke about a possible stabbing.

According to police, a male tenant of a residence walked into the apartment manager’s office at approximately 9 a.m. and reported that a man had been stabbed in his apartment.

The tenant, according to police, initially told officers that although he did not know the victim, he invited him to drink beer and stay in his apartment overnight and then woke to find the victim deceased.

After further questioning and obtaining physical evidence, detectives learned that there had been an altercation between the tenant and victim which ended with the victim getting fatally stabbed.

The tenant, Franklin Rene Larios-Sanchez, 39, has been charged with murder.
