A couple moving out of home at 609 N. Claybrook Sunday morning at the same time the new tenant was moving in say things quickly grew heated when the new tenant would not them have things that were still in the house.
Fred and Paula Tibbs say they got into an argument with Ray Parker, 21, when he refused to let them return to the house. When Parker allegedly hit Fred Tibbs in the face, the couple told police they got in their car for safety. They say Parker then went into the house, returned with a gun and shot at the car.
Parker was charged with two counts of aggravated assault, one count of assault and vandalism. Bond was set at $45,000. Parker is scheduled to be in court early Monday on the charges.
He was charged Thursday with domestic assault causing bodily harm in a separate case. He paid $1,000 bond and is to be in court on that case Nov. 21.
