A Norfolk landlord has pleaded guilty to four misdemeanors related to allegations from tenants that he tried to trade rent for sexual favors.

On Thursday, Camilo Delfinado pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual battery and one count of assault and battery, according to Amanda Howie with the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.

Delfinado was already found guilty of another set of sexual batter and assault and battery charges in August, then indicted for attempted rape in September.

These charges and court dealings come after a tenant reported in May that Delfinado made several unwanted sexual advances toward her. She said he exposed himself to her after asking for sex in exchange for rent, and she recorded the encounter on her cell phone.

In August, two more women — one a tenant, the other a potential tenant — testified about similar experiences with Delfinado.

At the time of his arrest in May, Delfinado was charged with abduction-extortion of money for immoral purpose/attempt to defile, attempted rape and two counts sexual battery.

Delfinado will be back in court February 20 for his sentencing hearing. Until then, he remains behind bars.
