At 9:36 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18, a residential burglary was reported in the 1200 block of Chapman Road in Ringgold, in which $25,000 worth of copper pipes and wiring was stolen.
The person who reported the burglary told police he is merely a property manager for the home, which is currently owned by a bank.
He said copper pipes and wiring was missing from the basement area, and could not offer a time frame for the theft, as the house is currently unoccupied.
The case has been turned over to detective Daniel Thacker.
· Between 8 a.m. on Sept. 22 and 4 p.m. on Sept. 25, a residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of South Prigmore Drive in Ringgold, in which more than $6,000 worth of electronics and appliances was stolen.
The landlord of the property told police he went into the home at the request of the out-of-town tenant so that he could put the mail inside for him, and discovered that things were out of the ordinary.
The chain and lock was missing from a side fence, as well as pry marks on a shed door, and the back door unlocked.
Two televisions, a love seat, a couch, two desktop computers, and a washer-dryer set were all reported missing during the incident. The tenant told detectives that he would comprise a detailed list of the missing property when he got back into town.
The case has been turned over to detective Timothy Busby.
