A landlord was in critical condition in a hospital and a tenant was in jail as the result of a dispute Wednesday that escalated into a shooting, police said.
Firefighters went to the 4000 block of 59th Place at 2:18 p.m., Officer Jack Richter of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section said.
Richter said the unidentified tenant was in custody on charges of shooting the landlord.
The shooting apparently happened inside a residence.
